Ages for the Summer Camps:

Our Summer Camp is designed this year for ages 5-11. We can consider younger or older students on a case by case basis. Please contact us at info@bretttapia.com to discuss with us and we'll see if any accomodations can be made.

Things to bring to the camp:

Artists should bring a packed lunch / (drink or juice box if they like) , a water bottle, snacks (healthy snacks also provided), a jacket or sweatshirt and a hat for outdoors. IMPORTANT: Please bring gripper socks! We have some new play structures and we ask that children remove their shoes for them. Also, clothes may get a little messy so dress them accordingly! And lastly ready to create attitude!

Outdoors / Playtime:

Yes! We make sure to get out, often lunching at the nearby St. Leo's church or the park, and regularly take hikes to the Rose Garden and / or Dracena Quarry Park.

Cancellation, refund, minimum enrollment policy:

All reservations include a 20% non refundable deposit. Cancellations and reschedules can be made up to 14 days before the camp start date. If cancellation is made less than 2 weeks before the start of camp we cannot offer a refund.

In the unlikely event that we cancel a camp due to illness, low enrollment or unforeseen issue, we will either offer an alternative session or issue a refund for the missed class.

How do you incorporate learning with fun in the art projects?

We aim to keep a balance between many different facets of a program's exploration which can include Art history and slideshows, book research time, interaction with peers and peer art appreciation, outdoor time, brain growth activities, learning new skills and planning and executing artworks inspired by these amazing time periods and famous artists.

Parking:

You can park right in front of the shop to drop your young artist. Text us ahead @ (510)306-5148 if you need assistance in guiding your child in.

Important Reminders:

Please pick up your child promptly at 3:00pm.

We understand that delays happen. However, if your child is picked up 10 or more minutes after the end of a camp a late fee of $25 will be charged. If they are picked up 30 minutes or more after a camp ends a fee of $75 will be charged.

Late pickup fees are paid directliy to the staff members who stay to supervise your child after pickup time. These charges ensure we maintain the integrity of our scheduled pickup times and respect the teacher's schedules.
